The fees indicated are for undergraduate entry in the 2024/25 academic year. Fees for future years may be subject to an inflationary increase. The Overseas fees shown are the fees that will be charged to 2024/25 entrants for each year of study on the programme, unless otherwise indicated below.
Additional costs
In addition, students who request for the hard copy of the Certificate may have to cover some costs dependent on their module selection (e.g. for work-based modules).

Course description
Take the lead, with our flagship Management of Projects course.
Informed
by insight into the organisational and strategic aspects of industry
today, as a graduate of this MSc you enter the professional world
equipped with an enviable blend of both technical and interpersonal
skills.
Spanning from environmental assessment to contract management
and project finance, each of our optional modules is designed to help
you tailor your skillset to your desired sector and area of interest.
One
of four within the MSc Management of Projects suite: you can also
choose from Commercial Project Management, Construction Project
Management, and Engineering Project Management – each establishing an
invaluable head-start in their field. Our department has an especially
pioneering history in the delivery of project management master's
courses. The staff you will work with during your study not only draw
from a wide variety of industrial experience and backgrounds but are
continually recognised for their contribution to the field.
Teaching and learning
The Management of Projects MSc is
a full time course which is studied over 12 months, starting in
September each year. The course comprises eight taught course units,
each worth 15 credits, and a research dissertation worth 60 credits. In
addition, the Applied Project Management unit is course-specific unit
which uses simulation exercises supplemented by guest speakers to
provide students with hands-on practical experience of managing a
project throughout its life cycle. Students must also select three
option units and carry out a Management of Projects based dissertation.
Assessment
of the taught part of the course is via a combination of formal written
examinations and coursework assignments, which will include group work
and oral presentations. Some assessment is based on online material
provided by the Association for Project Management (APM) and PRINCE2 (a
process-based method for effective project management).
